Notably, the plan identifies how federal and state funding will be allocated to affordable housing development in the region.

In addition, Colorado Springs Deals explains that a proposed statewide initiative, known as “Yes in God’s Backyard,” will allow faith-based organizations to begin affordable housing developments on land they own. The guide points out that Colorado Springs is already a leader in this respect, with a local church body having plans for 77 affordable housing units.
