Rachael Sage Joins Forces with LGBTQIA+ Mental Health Charity Rainbow Mind
Empowering 'Take In The Good' T-Shirt Initiative
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK / ACCESS Newswire / March 2, 2026 / Following a year of extensive touring and the release of her most compassionate album to date, Canopy (via MPress Records), award-winning New York-based singer-songwriter, producer, and activist Rachael Sage has stepped into a role that feels profoundly personal. She has become the first-ever official ambassador for Rainbow Mind, a pioneering charity providing safe, community-led and radically inclusive mental health support for LGBTQIA+ people.
Now, Sage is deepening that commitment. Fusing her creative flair with a continued mission to uplift and advocate for LGBTQIA+ individuals, she has teamed up with Rainbow Mind to launch self-designed limited-edition T-shirts, sweatshirts, and tote bags as part of the new 'Take In The Good' campaign. The initiative aims to raise vital funds while celebrating queer joy during an especially challenging time for the community.
To celebrate LGBTQIA+ History Month this February, Rainbow Mind will unite LGBTQIA+ celebrities and allies to champion the 'Take In The Good' campaign across Instagram. Participants will share photos wearing the T-shirt and help amplify the message through collaborative posts. Available for a limited time from February 27 via EverPress, the T-shirt will raise funds for Rainbow Mind's essential, free services across the UK, including one-to-one therapy, group courses, and wellbeing activities for those most at risk.
Aligning perfectly with Sage's lifelong commitment to inclusivity, resilience, and authentic self-expression, Rainbow Mind exists to champion the mental health and well-being of LGBTQIA+ people, with dedicated hubs in London and Manchester. Led and staffed by LGBTQIA+ people themselves, the charity provides safe, non-judgemental spaces, one-to-one therapy, group support, physical activities, and vital community connections, all at a time when research shows LGBTQIA+ communities continue to face disproportionately higher mental health challenges than the general population.
The campaign's namesake, 'Taking in the good,' is a short mindfulness practice taught in Rainbow Mind's Radical Self-Care model. Radical Self-Care (RadSec) is a group therapy course designed by and for LGBTQIA+ people, underpinned by compassion focused therapy and mindfulness techniques. It was developed to address the unique mental health needs and lived experiences of the LGBTQIA+ community and support individuals in building self-acceptance, emotional resilience, and self-caring habits.
Sage's full-band album, Canopy, is a testament to radical honesty, hope, and compassion. Songs like the uplifting title track, the piano-driven "Live It Up", and the vibrant "Just Enough" mirror Rainbow Mind's mission to create safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ people to thrive as their authentic selves.
Rainbow Mind Director Suranee Abeysuriya shared: "We are thrilled to begin our partnership with Rachael. Her vibrant, compassionate and inclusive approach to her music and life resonates directly with the values and aims of Rainbow Mind. Our ethos and services use compassion as a foundation for how we support the LGBTQIA+ community. We love how Rachael's new record, Canopy, focuses on, amongst other things, radical honesty and a more compassionate future. This chimes with our flagship service, Radical Self-Care, and the way we approach a challenging time for LGBTQIA+ folk in the world at the moment.
We look forward to collaborating on projects and events with Rachael and can't wait to experience her music up close in her upcoming tour. We are really excited to have someone of Rachael's calibre in the LGBTQIA+ community join us as an ambassador for Rainbow Mind-and that we share the same quest for authenticity, compassion, and creativity."
