Epic Welcomes Former Metro Nashville Police Lieutenant Joe Towers as National Safety & Security Sales Advisor

Epic Security & Architectural Films strengthens its national leadership in safety and security films with the addition of a respected law enforcement veteran
NASHVILLE, TN, UNITED STATES, October 31, 2025 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Epic Security & Architectural Films, a national leader in safety and security window film solutions and multi-year 3M™ National Dealer of the Year, announced that former Metro Nashville Police Lieutenant Joe Towers has joined the company as National Safety & Security Sales Advisor.
With a 28-year career in law enforcement and deep family roots in public service, Towers brings an unmatched understanding of threat response, emergency coordination, and the life-saving value of preparation. In his new role, he will serve as a trusted advisor to schools, faith-based organizations, commercial properties, and municipal clients nationwide — helping them strengthen their buildings and protect what matters most.
“In our family, service and protection aren’t choices — they’re part of who we are,” Towers said. “After decades in law enforcement, I’ve seen firsthand how seconds can save lives. Security film isn’t just about protecting property; it’s about protecting people — especially our children and those who serve them.”
Towers’ lifelong mission to serve began at age 17, when he joined the U.S. Coast Guard as a stepping stone to a career in law enforcement. He later joined the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and went on to serve more than two decades with the Metro Nashville Police Department, where he retired as a Lieutenant of the Division’s investigative unit. His distinguished tenure also included work as a SWAT Operator and leadership positions in narcotics and community policing divisions.
Following the 2020 Christmas Day bombing in downtown Nashville, Towers was among those who surveyed the aftermath — standing amid the destruction and witnessing its impact firsthand. That moment, he says, reinforced his resolve to help prevent similar tragedies by strengthening protection where people live, work, and learn.
That same calling led Towers to found Hero Hunt, Inc., a national nonprofit that serves injured military, police, fire, and first responders by providing a renewed sense of purpose, belonging, and connection through outdoor experiences. Since its founding in 2012, Hero Hunt has helped thousands of heroes rediscover the camaraderie and support that comes from being part of a mission-driven community. In 2024 alone, the organization hosted more than 60 events across seven states, serving over 300 participants — all at no cost to the heroes it honors.
“Whether I’m in the field, on a campus, or in the woods with our heroes, my purpose is the same — to protect and to serve,” Towers said. “Joining Epic allows me to continue that mission in a new way, helping schools and communities prepare before tragedy strikes.”
As part of Epic’s growing national team, Towers will advise schools, churches, and organizations on how 3M™ Safety & Security Window Film helps delay forced entry, reduce injury from glass breakage, and provide valuable response time for first responders.
“Joe’s life has been dedicated to protecting others,” said Kelly Eder, President of Epic. “His experience on the front lines of law enforcement gives him an unparalleled understanding of why what we do matters. He embodies Epic’s purpose — to protect people, not just property. His experience and compassion bring a voice of authenticity to the national conversation about safety — and that’s exactly what Epic stands for.”
Epic Security & Architectural Films — a 3M™ Premier Authorized Dealer and the largest 3M Safety & Security Film dealer in the nation — is known for installations “done right, every time.” The company employs only 100% in-house, certified security installation teams and has earned national recognition for its precision, reliability, and integrity in protecting schools, commercial buildings, and public spaces.
“Epic’s mission aligns perfectly with my own,” Towers added. “When you’ve been on the other side of that glass, you understand how vital every second is. At Epic, we’re not just securing the glass — we’re buying time, saving lives, and helping communities protect what matters most.”
As a Tennessee resident for over 50 years, Towers commands a strong understanding of the region’s safety priorities — but his focus extends far beyond state lines. In his national role with Epic, he will support schools, government agencies, and commercial organizations across the United States in strengthening buildings against threats ranging from intruders to severe weather. With Towers on board, Epic adds a trusted voice of experience — and a lifelong protector — to its national safety and security leadership team.
