Guaranteed Removals Supports Burlington Food Bank with Local Donation

Burlington-based team contributes to growing need, encourages others to give back in their own way

Staff at Guaranteed Removals contributed $1,000 CAD and 37 pounds of non-perishable food to the Burlington Food Bank, joining the wider community in supporting those facing food insecurity.

With roots firmly in Burlington, the team made the donation not as a corporate gesture, but as a show of neighbourly care. The rising cost of living continues to affect individuals and families across Canada, with more than 18% of households reporting food insecurity in 2022, according to Statistics Canada.

“We’re part of this community,” said Cenk Uzunkaya, CEO of Guaranteed Removals. “When we see a growing need, especially one as basic and urgent as food, we do our part, just like any good neighbour would.”

The Burlington Food Bank serves hundreds of local residents every month, and donations like these help ensure families have access to essentials many of us take for granted.

“This kind of giving is about showing up,” said Alyssa Durant, Director of Human Resources. “It’s not complicated, someone needs a hand, and if you can help, you help. That’s what this is about.”

Though Guaranteed Removals’ day-to-day work focuses on helping people recover from the harm of online misinformation and digital reputational damage, this initiative was less about the internet, and more about the simple power of community care.

Ways to ContributeThe team at Guaranteed Removals encourages everyone, businesses and individuals alike, to take part in supporting their communities:

  • Donate non-perishable items or funds to your local food bank

  • Volunteer time, skills, or transportation services

  • Check in on neighbours who may be struggling quietly

  • Share local resources or community initiatives with your network

“You don’t need to be in a position of power or wealth to make a difference,” added Uzunkaya. “Sometimes it’s just about doing what you can, where you are.”
